Installing LootEngine

LootEngine runs on Windows and Linux.

Coming soon

LootEngine isn’t out yet. Join the Discord or the waitlist at lootengine.io to hear first when Early Access opens. It will be free to download and use.

Windows

LootEngine for Windows comes as an installer (LootEngine_<version>_x64-setup.exe).

  1. Run the installer and follow the steps.
  2. Start LootEngine from the Start menu.

The installer is code signed by Baker Software.

Linux

LootEngine for Linux comes as an AppImage, a single file that runs on most distributions without installing.

  1. Download LootEngine_<version>_amd64.AppImage.

  2. Make it executable, either from your file manager’s properties or in a terminal:

    bash
    chmod +x LootEngine_*.AppImage
  3. Run it.

TIP

Keep the AppImage somewhere permanent, such as ~/Applications. LootEngine updates itself by replacing the AppImage file, so it needs to stay where it is and be run as an AppImage. See Updating LootEngine.
